Child labour and bonded labour are serious human rights issues that rob children of
their childhood, education and dignity, often forcing them to work in hazardous working conditions. Recognising this grim reality, the World Commission for
Protection of Culture and Environment has been working tirelessly since 2023 to
rescue these vulnerable children and bring them back to the mainstream of society.
To date, our organisation has successfully conducted 150 rescue operations to save
3166 children (2376 boys and 790 girls) from exploitative situations. In these cases, more than 900 employers and traffickers have been named in FIRs. Beyond the
rescue, Sahyog Care For You is committed to securing the future of these children,
helping them recover their pending wages of around ₹7 crore. During their
rehabilitation, we have also provided essential ration kits to around 1500 needy
families of the rescued children. We are proud to share that 40-50% of these
rescued children have been enrolled in schools and vocational training courses,
paving the way for their brighter future. Additionally, Sahyog Care For You actively
assists the families of the rescued children in connecting them to relevant
government schemes and facilitating the necessary documentation, ensuring
comprehensive support for their reintegration.
